Born on Hastings. Built for Vancouver.
VOLTA opened its doors in 2019 on West Hastings Street, born out of a conviction that Vancouver deserved a cycling studio that matched its energy. Founding instructor Maya Reyes had spent years searching for a studio that blended athletic rigour with genuine community β and found nothing that came close.
So she built it herself. Starting with 22 bikes and a borrowed sound system, the original VOLTA studio sold out within its first three weeks. The waitlists grew. The community followed.
The space has since been transformed β a purpose-built 45-bike studio with a custom lighting rig and surround sound designed from the ground up for the riding experience we always envisioned.
Today, thousands of Vancouverites ride with VOLTA every week. The faces change, the energy never does.
A full-size 45-bike studio on West Hastings Street with optimal sight lines to the instructor from every position in the room.
Custom speaker arrays tuned by a professional audio engineer. Every beat, every cue β felt as much as heard.
Programmable lighting synchronized to class format. POWER rides are lit differently than BEATS. Intentionally.
Full change rooms with secure lockers and rainfall showers so you can ride before work β or anywhere in your day.
New to cycling? Book a free pre-class bike fit with any instructor. Five minutes that change your entire ride.
Cycling shoes included with every class β no extra charge, no excuses. Just clip in.
Every class is a commitment β from us to you. We show up fully charged. We expect nothing less from the room. Energy is contagious, and we protect it.
The bike beside yours isn't a stranger β it's your pacer, your teammate, your reason to push through the last interval. Community is the infrastructure of this studio.
We don't do things by accident. The playlist, the lighting, the breathing cue at minute 32 β all of it is deliberate. Intention separates a workout from an experience.
